Luke Donnellan was first elected as the State Member for Narre Warren North in the Legislative Assembly of the Victorian parliament in 2002. He was re-elected in 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2018.

Luke became Minister for Child Protection and Minister for Disability, Ageing and Carers in the Daniel Andrews government in November 2018.

Luke previously served as Minister for Roads and Road Safety (2014-2018), Minister for Ports (2014-2018), Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier (2007-2010), and Parliamentary Secretary for Treasury and Finance (2006-2007).

Luke earned a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne. While at university, he competed with the University of Melbourne rowing team.

After finishing university, Luke worked in the finance industry as a client services manager involved in tax, finance and real estate. He also worked as a finance adviser as well as in marketing and strategic planning.

Luke is married to Charlotte and together they have two sons, Ben and Sebastian.

For recreation, Luke enjoys going to cricket and football with his boys, as well as running and gardening.
