Road projects
The Brumby Government is taking action now to improve roads in our suburbs. Since 1999/2000, over $1.7 billion has been invested to improve the road network throughout the City of Casey.
Projects underway
- Ballarto Rd bridge strengthening over Clyde Creek, $358k
- Berwick-Cranbourne Rd duplication, Grices Rd to Thompsons Rd, $17M (expected completion late 2008)
- Berwick Railway Station Park and Ride Facility, $1.1M
- Cranbourne-Frankston Rd duplication, Hall Rd to Western Port Hwy, $30M (works commenced April 2008)
- Narre Warren-Cranbourne Rd duplication, Centre Rd to Pound Rd, $7.4M (works commenced July 2008)
- Pound Rd/South Gippsland Fwy/South Gippsland Hwy interchange upgrade, $36.8M (works expected to commence in 2009)
- South Gippsland Hwy intersection lighting at Clyde-Five Ways Rd/Fisheries Rd intersection, Devon Meadows, $625k
- Thompson Rd duplication, South Gippsland Hwy to Narre Warren Cranbourne Rd, $22M (works commenced July 2008)
- Western Port Hwy duplication, Cranbourne-Frankston Rd to North Rd, $36.8M (expected completion early 2009)
